കില്‍ത്താന്‍ (15.10.13):- കപ്പല്‍ പ്രോഗ്രാമില്‍ മൈനര്‍ ദ്വീപുകളായ കില്‍ത്താന്‍, ചെത്ത്ലാത്ത്, ബിത്ര ദ്വീപുകള്‍ കടുത്ത അവഗണനയെന്ന് കില്‍ത്താന്‍ ഡി.പി.മെമ്പര്‍ ശ്രീ.പി.റഹ്മത്തുള്ളാ ദ്വീപ് ഡയറിയോട് പറഞ്ഞു. പെരുന്നാള്‍ പുലര്‍ന്നിട്ടും അവശ്യ സാധനങ്ങള്‍ കിട്ടാതെ നാട്ടുകാര്‍ നെട്ടോട്ടത്തിലാണ്. കഴിഞ്ഞ ആഴ്ച പോളിട്ടറി ഫാമില്‍നിന്ന് പഞ്ചായത്ത് മുഖേന വിതരണം ചെയ്ത മുട്ട വാങ്ങാന്‍ നീണ്ട ക്യൂവായിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ഒരാള്‍ക്ക് ഒരു മുട്ട മാത്രമേ നല്‍കിയിട്ടുള്ളു. 700 മുട്ടകള്‍ വാങ്ങാന്‍ 700 റിലധികം പേരാണ് ക്യൂവിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. അവശ്യ സാധനങ്ങളുടെ ക്ഷാമമാണ് ഇത് വിളിച്ചോതുന്നതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്തു. കില്‍ത്താനിലേക്ക് കാര്‍ഗോ കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നതിന് നിരന്തരം ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടും തങ്ങളെ പരിഗണിക്കാതെ വന്നതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഇന്നലെ ഇവര്‍ കപ്പല്‍ ടിക്കറ്റ് റിലീസ് ചെയ്ത സമയത്ത് ടിക്കറ്റല്‍ നല്‍കുന്നത് തടഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.ഇതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ടിക്കറ്റ് കൗണ്ടറില്‍ ചെറിയ ഉന്തും തള്ളും നടന്നിരുന്നു. ഇതേസമയം തന്നെ ചെത്തിലാത്തിലും ബിത്രയിലും ടിക്കറ്റ് നല്‍കുന്നത് തടഞ്ഞു. ഇതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ടിക്കറ്റ് കൊടുക്കുന്നത് ഇന്നേക്ക് മാറ്റുകയായിരുന്നു. 19 ന് ഈ ദ്വീപുകളിലെത്തുന്ന എം.വി.ലക്ഷദ്വീപ് സീ എന്ന കപ്പലിലും ഒരു കടക്കാര്‍ക്ക് 2 ബോക്സ് കാര്‍ഗോ മാത്രേമേ അനുവദിച്ചുള്ളൂ എന്നാണ് ഇവര്‍ പറയുന്നത്. അതിനാല്‍ ഈ അവഗണനയ്ക്ക് തക്കതായ മറുപടികൊടുക്കുമെന്നും 19 ന് എത്തുന്ന കപ്പല്‍ തടയുമെന്നും ശ്രീ.റഹ്മത്തുള്ളാ ദ്വീപ്ഡയറിയോട് പറഞ്ഞു.

ReplyDeleteThe apprehension that these islands are neglected by the administration is a fact. I was at kavaratti last week. Comrade Barkathulla, convenor CPI(M) Kiltan informed us about the situation and we were involved in the discussion with Director for three days. It was disgusting! We requested for an additional programme of Arabian sea or Lakshadweep sea on 12th from kochi to return back on 14th, but dep and LDCL were reluctant to Give an additional prog as they were afraid the schedules would be disturbed ! They did not bother to solve the crisis in Kiltan and other islands in the group. The problem started as the cargo was not allowed in mv Amindivi and MV Minicoy. Again a lapse by LDCL in the docking period. We also gave the option to arrange a barge to Kiltan before 15th.At last Director asked to clear the barge from kalpeni by evening of 10th even if cargo remains, but as usual things appear to be dealt very casually. Agitating people are given priority by the administration. Additional programme of mV Amindivi was given to And/kalpeni. The Kiltan group also need to be treated farely. No goods were transported to Kiltan after 27th sep. Criminal case should be filed against administration for criminal negligence as it is the responsibility of the govt to take care of its citizens. The islanders should respond without political differences for the welfare of their island.
ReplyDeleteOne barge left from beypore to kiltan,chetlat with limited cargo as per Dr. Muneer request. Port authorities permitted limited time 8 am to 1 PM. All shops at town and valiyangadi starting from 10 AM. 13 th and 14 th Oct.holiday. Hence there is very rush in market. Merchants could not load essential articles as they like due to delay in reaching articles at beypore Port. Director Port who have no practical problems of Lakshadweep ordered something. But due to hurry programme you requested, a 200 Mt capacity barge only loaded below 20 MT cargo in that barge. It is interested to submit the readers of Dweep dairy is that Port authorities permitted to carry tiles to Bitra for a private contractor while other merchants could not even load essential items for Bakrid. Barge reached kiltan only before Bakrid, but they could not unload all items in the barge before bakrid. The articles unloaded at Chetlat and bitra after festival. Is it Dr. Muneer want to help only Kiltan people??. All the concerned know very well that cargo barge could not unloade goods before Bakrid when Barge left beypore on 14 th evening. Another consequence of emergency programme of barge is that Electricity Dept. could not load 1200 barrel HSD in that barge. Dweep people will suffer the shortage of diesel near future due to this action of Port authorities.A merchant from chetlat
