Kavaratti: The celebration of Independence Day-2013 officially began with the unfurling of the national flag by the Hon’ble Administrator, Shri.H. Rajesh Prasad after that Hon’ble Administrator inspected the parade along with the Superintendent of Police, Shri. Parmaditya, IPS and the Parade
Commander Inspector, Shri.Mohammed Saleem of IRBn. Two contingents of IRBn, one contingent each of Lakshadweep Police, Commando of Lakshadweep Police, NCC,
Scout, Boys of KV and NSS Girls of GSSS Kavaratti were all in their best discipline and the commander of each contingent saluted the Hon’ble Administrator.

കില്‍ത്താന്‍: സ്ക്കൂള്‍ ഗ്രൌണ്‍ണ്ടില്‍ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ അറുപത്തിയേഴാം സ്വാതന്ത്യ ദിനത്തോട് അനുബന്ധിച്ച് വിവിധ പരിപാടികള്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. രാവിലെ 9.15ന് സ്ഥലത്തെ സംബ്ഡിവിഷനല്‍ ഓഫീസര്‍ ശ്രീ.എം.കെ.സൈദ് മുഹമ്മദ് കോയാ പതാകയുറര്‍ത്തി. തുടര്‍ന്ന് പൊതുജനങ്ങള്‍ക്കായി വിവിധ കലാപരിപാടികള്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുകയുംചെയ്തു. ഉദ്യാഗസ്ത്ഥരും വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളും പൊതുജനങ്ങളും സ്വാതന്ത്യദിന ചടങ്ങില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുകയും രാജ്യത്തോടുള്ള കൂര്‍ പുലര്‍ത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. 3.Minicoy: 

The 67^th Independence Day celebrated at Minicoy befittingly on 15.8.2013 in a favorable weather in the Monsoon. Programmes commenced with the Prabhadaberi organized by the Information & Public Relations Unit with the help of Aloodi Brothers Club at 6.30 AM. At sharp 09.05 AM Shri. Ramchandra M Singare Deputy Collector unfurled the National tri colour at Mini Stadium and received Rastriya Salute with National Anthem. Lakshadweep Police, IR Battalion and Coastal Police took part in ceremonial Parade.
