കൊച്ചി(14/08/2013): ലക്ഷദ്വീപിലെ ചരക്കു ഗതാഗത ചരിത്രത്തിലേക്ക് പുതിയ തലയെടുപ്പ്. MV എളിക്കല്പ്പേനിക്ക് പിറകെ 150 മെഗാടാണ് ശേഷിയുള്ള ഓയില് ടാങ്കര് എംവി കോടിത്തല എന്ന കപ്പലാണ് ഇന്ന്(14/08/2013) ഏര്ണാകുളം വാര്ഫില് ബെര്ത്ത് ചെയ്തത്. ഗുജറാത്തിലാണ് കപ്പലിന്റെ നിര്മ്മാണം. ഉല്ഘാടന ശേഷം ദ്വീപുകളിലേക്ക് സര്വ്വീസ് നടത്തും.

scarcity of petrol , diesel,LPG not solved even after Elikalpeni commence service last november. one of the reason is unscientific fixing of programme. If the oil tank at kvt will start functioning the the crisis in the oil requirement will meet.The new generator of electricity will consume more oil than the old one. Hence more oil needed ELE. Now the LPG godown at kiltan,amini and kadmat finished. admn have to transport LPG to these islands.The Port dept need ATF for helicopter. But they have only limited barrels to carry ATF. If they purchase about 500 barels at a time they can carry 300 barels in elikalpeni and it sufficient to meet one month requirement during monsoon period.They are not taking much interest on this because they have a monopoly to run cargo barge and the officials working kvt want to touch all cargo barge first to kvt to get vegetables to their kitchen.increasing oil barge not solve our problem. contractors at islands and mainland carelessly handling oil barrels and damage and leakage taken place. to avoid this, the pumping system at mainland and islands shall be introduced.

one my request dont entrust this ship to LDCL.Two cargo barges kept idle for couple of days at Beypore port said to be non payment of agent charges for maintaining ships at beypore port.Most of the islands facing huge shortage of petrol. LDCL also terminated the service of casual labours for want of payment their coolie.Administration giving a lot of fund to them.But fund not utilizing for the benefit of people. It is learnt that The buil;ding now functioning Asst. Director Port, Beypore hired by LDCL.They are not paying rent for somany months. now the building owner give show cause to vacat the building soon.Dweep dairy will conduct a open discussion of functioning of LDCL through your social network- Badarussaman, kiltan
ReplyDeletevery glad to see that lakshadweep admn. is getting passenger / cargo ships / barges one after another. very good thing. but very unfortunate to see the everlasting crisis prevails in the passenger / cargo movements which is definitely due to the lack of proper planing and systematization in the implementation of the programmes / plans.needed more dedication and efforts.
